Living and working in Korea
can be a little monotonous for all of us at some
point or another. We've all heard the complaints
at school or in the bar - 'There's nothing to
do this weekend,' 'Nothing ever happens here,'
'I'm so bored.' That was our situation, too; the
reason this club was founded was because our days
were getting grindingly routine. The first time
we broke the day-in, day-out tedium of work was
by going white water rafting one weekend and,
after that, we couldn't just sit around waiting
for something else to happen.
So, we founded the Adventure Korea Club to get
more foreigners - and their Korean friends - interested
in the activities Korea has to offer. It's all
about travel, meeting people, excitement, and
fun. The only costs you'll have to pay are those
of each individual trip, and, by booking as a
group, we keep those low. Several of our members
speak fluent Korean, and so we don't have the
hassles and inconvenience that can come with trying
to arrange trips using only English.
This club is open to anyone and everyone. It¡¯s
designed to make your stay in Korea a happy and
enjoyable one. We're constantly growing. We're
always open to new suggestions! Our members give
us ideas or ask questions about what might be
available, and we love to hear about new possibilities
for adventure. Our bulletin boards are for discussing
such ideas, as well as for buying, selling, or
swapping goods and general information about Korea.
(However, it's not about teaching in Korea! There
are many other sites for that, and one of the
purposes of this club is to get away from our
working lives for a brief time.) If you have a
birthday party, or your band's playing at a club,
or you've heard about a really great event, post
it on the board - and we'll even help you organize
it for free.
