Description

Variety Deal - Skiing, Chiaksan hiking and Blue Canyon Water Park.

Lunar New Year is a three day weekend this year, so why not join Adventure Korea for a great trip away from the city.  We are offering you the opportunity to spend almost three full days skiing at Phoenix Park, or take a break from the slopes to go hiking up Chiaksan, or relax at the nearby Blue Canyon water park.

For the skier/snowboarders there are 15 slopes each with their own level of difficulty from beginner through to professional.  10 lift options, including gondolas, all with different prices, but we have received a fantastic discount which we are offering to you. If you are really into skiing you can also pick up night passes or why not get a combination pass for more time on the slopes.  You¡¯ll find that the night pass is especially great, with flood-lit slopes and fewer people; you can enjoy your evenings even more.  Why not get a full day pass for Sunday then get up early Monday morning, to get in as much time as you can, before we head back to Seoul.  Also keep in mind that this in a traditional Korean holiday.  Many locals go to their home towns to spend time with their families.  This is perfect for us as there will be fewer people on the slopes.

Phoenix Park has a lot more to offer than just snow.  There are various restaurants, pubs, a swimming pool and sauna.  All located just off the slopes and only a few minutes from where we will be staying.

For a break from sking or snowboarding, why not join our group hike to the top of Chiaksan on Sunday.

Chiaksan (Ä¡¾Ç»ê±¹¸³°ø¿ø) was designated as a national park in December 1984.
For years Chiaksan has inspired hikers with its towering mountain sides and magnificent deep valleys. It was once referred to as "Jeokak," but the name has since changed over time, due in large part to a mythical story. There was once a man that rescued a pheasant from being eaten alive by a snake. When the man later found himself in danger, that pheasant saved his life in return. Because of this story the name became "Chiaksan."

There are several temples around the mountain range, On the way up to Birobong  (the peak of the mountain) we will visit Guryongsa Temple.

Guryongsa Temple was established by Monk Uisang (625~702) of the Silla Dynasty (BC 57¡AD 935), during the reign of King Munmu. We may also see the frozen Guryong Waterfall, the Turtle Stone, Tiger Stone and Dragon stone nearby.  Also on the top of Birobong are three famous stone pagodas each standing 10m high.

The last option is Blue Canyon Water Park, you can walk to this park from our accommodation.  It is open long hours,(09:00-21:00) and provides various slides, hot pools, a wave pool, and places to relax the day away.  You¡¯ll get a discount for coming with AK. (For more information on Blue Canyon check their website at http://www.bluecanyon.co.kr/

Cancellation Policy

The reason why we have these guidelines is because of the problems we've had in the past. Extra people would show up on the day of the trip and have to be turned away because there were no more seats available.
Organizing trips, hiring buses and the likes can be expensive, and if people don't turn up without paying it can add to the overall cost of the trip. So by depositing the money into the bank account we can guarantee seats and know who is definitely coming and reduce the overall cost of the trip for you.

If you have paid and would like a refund we have a three day policy. This policy is as follows:
3 days before the trip: Full refund (72 hours from departure time)
2 days before the trip: 50% refund(48 hours from the departure time)
1 day before the trip: 0% refund ( 24 hours or less from the departure time)
