ITINERARY

Day 1 (Sat) Seoul - Gongju - Daejeon (Lunch & Dinner)

  • 8:00am-9:00am pick up from hotel in Seoul, guide will greet you with “Discover Korea Tour” sign
  • Leave for Gongju, ancient capital of Baekje Kingdom (18 BC-660 AD)
  • Experience mediation and conversation over tea with a monk at Magoksa Temple a representative temple surrounded by a mountain and rivers in Chungnam Province
  • Visit the Tomb of Muryeong King with the wall painting drawn on the number 6 tomb
  • Continue on to Gongsanseong Fortress, a mountain castle established during the Baekje Period, and enjoy archery
  • Transfer to Daejeon, a hub city of Korea, famous for its hot springs
  • Check into the Inter Citi hotel and enjoy leisure at the indoor spa offering high quality water

Day 2 (Sun) Daejeon - Jeonju - Jinan - Gwangju (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Arrive at the first destination: Jeonju Hanok Village, filled with over 800 traditional Korean houses, famous among tourists due to its atmosphere that strongly contrasts with the modern city around it
  • Dress up in a Hanbok, a traditional Korean costume, and make memories with friends while wearing it
  • Explore Gyeonggijeon Shrine, built in 1410, and holds the portrait of King Tae-jo, founder of the Joseon Dynasty
  • Visit Tapsa temple in Jinan, famous for over 80 stone pagodas built by Lee Gapyong, a retired scholar
  • Leave for Gwangju, located in the southwest corner of Korea, and stay overnight in the Holiday Inn Gwangju

Day 3 (Mon) Gwangju - Boseong - Suncheon - Yeosu (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Visit Boseong Green Tea Plantation, a beautiful destination full of green tea fields and cedar trees
  • Taste Boseong green tea
  • Visit Naganeupseong Folk VIllage where you can observe the daily dwellings indigeneous to the south provincial area
  • Explore Suncheonman Bay, thickly covered with reeds taller than a full-grown man
  • Stop by Yongsan Observatory to see the bay’s beautiful view
  • Move to Yeosu, one of the country’s most picturesque port cities, especially at night
  • Celebrate the night in Yeosu by watching the view of the seaside village
  • Stay overnight in the Hidden Bay Hotel

Day 4 (Tue) Yeosu - Jinju - Busan (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Take the Yeosu cable car, offering a safe yet thrilling experience with the gondola that operates over seawater
  • Enjoy scenery of downtown Yeosu and the archipelago around the old seaport
  • Visit Jinjuseong Fortress which is historically linked to the Japanese invasion in 1592
  • Transfer to Busan and enjoy the rest of the day on your own after dinner
  • Rest of the day is free for you to explore Haeundae Beach, known for its modern feel
  • Spend your night at cafes and pubs
  • Enjoy watching busking along the shoreline as well as Haeundae Market
  • Stay overnight in the Ramada Encore Haeundae

Day 5 (Wed) Busan - Gyeongju (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

  • Visit Nurimaru APEC House, which means “a house where the world summits gather together for an APEC meeting.” Located o Dongbaekseom Island, noted for its beautiful, natural landscape accented by dense camellia and pine trees
  • Head to Gyeongju and explore Bulguksa Temple, the representative relic designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in Gyeongju
  • Visit Gyeongju National Museum. Its holdings are largely devoted to relics of the Silla Kingdom, of which Gyeongju was the capital
  • Continue on to Daereungwon Tomb Complex which has more than 20 large and small tombs from the Shilla period and has been designated a Historic site. The tombs are presumed to be those of Kings and Court officials
  • The last stop is Cheomseongdae Observatory, the oldest existing astronomical observatory in Asia constructed during the reign of Queen Seon-deok (632-647). It was used to observe starts to forecast the weather
  • After dinner, enjoy time on your own and walk through Bomun Lake
  • Stay overnight in the Gyeongju Hilton Hotel

Day 6 (Thurs) Gyeongju - Andong - Wonju - Pyeongchang

  • Take a morning tour through Andong Hahoe Village, home to descendants of the Ryu clan of Pungsan and well-known for its traditional houses
  • Hahoe Village boasts exquisite scenic sights: the elegant Nakdong River flowing around the village, the magnificent Buyongdae Cliff, endlessly unfolding sandy beaches, and lush ancient pine trees
  • Visit Hanji Theme Park and experience the Hanji making process
  • A short transfer will bring you to the Intercontinental Pyeongchang Hotel in Pyeongchang

Day 7 (Fri) Pyeongchang - Mt. Seoraksan - Seoul

  • Visit Ski Jump Tower Observatory by monorail for Olympic Winter Games Pyeongchang 2018
  • Enjoy the view of the Sky Lounge and have some free time to enjoy coffee or tea
  • Travel to Yangyang for hiking at Jujeongol of Mt. Seorak to enjoy nature
  • 18:00 return to Seoul
  • Drop off at T-Mark Grand Hotel, T-Mark Hotel, Lotte Hotel Seoul, and Center Mark Hotel
