On this exciting weekend get-away, explore the best sights Jeollanam Province has to offer! We’ll kick off the adventure by visiting Daeheungsa Temple where you’ll have the opportunity to make your own green tea! Situated along the slopes of the stunning Duryunsan Mountain, Daeheungsa Temple is considered one of the oldest temples in South Korea. Daeheungsa Temple is furthermore recognized as the historical center of Korean tea culture! What better place to learn how to make tea? You’ll be able to pick your own tea leaves at the temple’s garden, sort them and dry them, and then sip on your fresh tea as you’re guided through a traditional tea ceremony led by a monk master. You can also enjoy the outdoor maze park situated near the temple.

On the second day we will have a chance to learn about traditional Korean food and make gochujang which you can take home later. And then, we’ll visit the port city Mokpo. Take a quick hike up Yudalsan Mountain for an amazing view of the city and ocean below.
Finally we’ll head to Banwol-do (Purple Island), one of Korea’s latest trendy “Instagrammable” locations. Explore the island as you take in the vibrant scenery of over 400 buildings painted a beautiful shade of lilac purple and the lavender flower fields.
